Background: Both oxidative stress and autoimmune responses play crucial roles in the development of vitiligo. Under oxidative stress, the apoptotic melanocytes expose self-antigens and release high mobility group box 1 (HMGB1), triggering autoimmune activation and recruiting CD8 T cells. This process further leads to the destruction of melanocytes, resulting in the lack of melanin granules.

A colorimetric-fluorescence ripeness indicator, based on copper nanoparticles and carbon quantum dots doped with nitrogen (CuNPs/N@CQD) immobilized in agar hydrogel (AGH-CuNPs/N@CQDs) for ethylene gas detection, was developed for detecting the ripening of bananas. Ethylene could reduce the fluorescence intensity of CuNPs/N@CQDs and cause a red shift of the LSPR peak. The prepared AGH-CuNPs/N@CQDs indicator had an irreversible response to ethylene with LOD and LOQ of 9.

Follicular lymphoma (FL) represents the most prevalent subtype of non-Hodgkin's-lymphoma in Western Europe and the United States. While the examination of two-dimensional histological slides remains the gold standard method for diagnosing FL stages, three-dimensional analysis provides additional insights, particularly regarding cellular morphology, spatial relationships and network connectivity.
