Desmoid-type fibromatosis (DTF) is a locally invasive tumor composed of myofibroblast-like cells and collagen; it does not metastasize but can cause significant local morbidity. Although the cure rates of classical Hodgkin Lymphoma (cHL) are as high as 90% using the current treatment protocols, the prognosis is poor for primary refractory patients. Thus, a biomarker that can predict patients with early progression at the time of diagnosis is an unmet clinical need. Endothelial activation and stress index (EASIX) and its variant modified EASIX (mEASIX) is a scoring system currently used for the prediction of prognosis in hematologic malignancies.

Background: GALOP investigators developed a prospective cooperative protocol for localized Ewing sarcoma (ES) incorporating interval-compressed chemotherapy (VDC/IE, vincristine, doxorubicin, cyclophosphamide/ifosfamide and etoposide). After completing conventional treatment, patients were randomized to 1 year of metronomic chemotherapy (vinblastine and cyclophosphamide).
Methods: Phase III randomized prospective trial.

Background: Dose-dense methotrexate, vinblastine, doxorubicin, and cisplatin (dd-MVAC) regimen has been established as a systemic chemotherapy for patients with urothelial carcinoma. However, it is rarely used in Japan owing to the challenges associated with managing the related adverse events. This study aimed to optimize the dd-MVAC protocol for Japanese patients.
