The insecticidal action of the new compound ethofenprox (trebon) in the form of 10 and 30% flow concentrate against house flies, cockroaches, bed bugs, rat fleas, mosquito imagines and larvae of Aedes and Culex genera was studied in the laboratory and in the field. The effective doses and the methods of spraying were established. 10% flow trebon is allowed by the USSR Ministry of Health to be useful in medical disinfection.

The white-backed planthopper (WBPH) poses a significant threat to rice crops globally. A bioassay was conducted on three WBPH populations collected from Korean rice fields to assess the effectiveness of five insecticides, including etofenprox and fenobucarb. The results showed a mortality rate of over 97% at the recommended concentration for carbamate and organophosphate insecticides.

The brown planthopper (BPH), Nilaparvata lugens is a devastating agricultural pest of rice, and they have developed resistance to many pesticides. In this study, we assessed the response of BPH nymphs to nitenpyram, imidacloprid, and etofenprox using contact and dietary bioassays, and investigated the underlying functional diversities of BPH glutathione-S-transferase (GST), carboxylesterase (CarE) and cytochrome P450 monooxygenase (P450) against these insecticides. Both contact and ingestion toxicity of nitenpyram to BPH were significantly higher than either imidacloprid or etofenprox.

Background: Supercritical fluid extraction (SFE) is a fast, versatile, and solvent-efficient automatic extraction method. Despite its advantages, the results of our proficiency tests imply that the applicability assessments of SFE for pesticide residues were insufficient.
Objective: In this study, as analytical method using SFE was optimized and validated by testing the incurred and fortified brown rice samples with organophosphorus (OP), pyrethroid (PYR), and dithiolane (DIT) pesticides.

Phytotoxicity is caused by the interaction between plants and a chemical substance, which can cause critical damage to plants. Understanding the molecular mechanism underlying plant-chemical interactions is important for managing pests in crop fields and avoiding plant phytotoxicity by insecticides. The genomic region responsible for sensitivity to phytotoxicity of etofenprox (PE), controlled by a single dominant gene, was detected by constructing high density genetic map using recombination inbred lines (RILs) in soybean.
