The extraction of polysaccharides from wood by-products is recognized as a green re-utilization approach to shape a recycling-oriented society. In this research, we identified the structural properties of arabinogalactan (AG) extracted from Larix sibirica Ledeb wood chips and verified its efficacy as an additive in broiler framing. Results showed that the molecular weight of AG is 19.

Sugar preference is a key contributor to the overconsumption of sugar and the concomitant increase in the incidence of diabetes. However, the exact mechanism of its development remains ambiguous. Here we show that the expression of free fatty acid receptor Ffar4, a receptor for long-chain fatty acids, is decreased in patients and mouse models with diabetes, which is associated with high sugar intake.

Objective: The aim of this study was to use metabolomics techniques to detect differential metabolites in the plasma of patients with aplastic anemia (AA). We explore important biomarkers and potential pathways in cyclosporine A (CsA) in the treatment of AA.
Methods: Plasma samples from five patients with AA before and after treatment and plasma samples from five healthy people were collected and analyzed by liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry and gas chromatography-mass spectrometry.

The annotated and predicted genomes of five archaeal strains (AS1, AS2, AS8, AS11 and AS19), isolated from Sfax solar saltern sediments (Tunisia) and affiliated with , were performed by RAST webserver (Rapid Annotation using Subsystem Technology) and NCBI prokaryotic genome annotation pipeline (PGAP). The results showed the ability of strains to use a reduced semi-phosphorylative Entner-Doudoroff pathway for glucose degradation and an Embden-Meyerhof one for gluconeogenesis. They could use glucose, fructose, glycerol, and acetate as sole source of carbon and energy.
