Background: The incidence of breast cancer among young Asian women is increasing, yet they remain underrepresented in global data. We analyzed the epidemiology and outcomes of Asian patients with breast cancer <40 years old across different subtypes to identify their clinical unmet needs.
Patients And Methods: Female patients aged ≥20 years diagnosed with early breast cancer were analyzed from the prospective cohort of the Asian Breast Cancer Cooperative Group (ABCCG).

Plasmacytoid dendritic cells (pDCs), a subtype of DC, possess unique developmental, morphological, and functional traits that have sparked much debate over the years whether they should be categorized as DCs. The digestive system has the greatest mucosal tissue overall, and the pDC therein is responsible for shaping the adaptive and innate immunity of the gastrointestinal tract, resisting pathogen invasion through generating type I interferons, presenting antigens, and participating in immunological responses. Therefore, its alleged importance in the gut has received a lot of attention in recent years, and a fresh functional overview is still required.

The local lymph node assay (LLNA) has provided a large dataset against which performance of non-animal approaches for prediction of skin sensitisation potential and potency can be assessed. However, a recent comparison of LLNA results with human data has argued that LLNA specificity is low, with many human non-sensitisers, particularly hydrophobic chemicals, being false positives. It has been suggested that such putative false positives result from hydrophobic chemicals causing cytotoxicity, which induces irritancy, in turn driving non-specific lymphocyte proliferation.

Prostate-specific antigen (PSA) tests are used in forensics to conduct rapid screening for semen in vaginal swab samples from alleged victims of sexual abuse. Although PSA membrane tests have been applied to autopsy specimens, no study has evaluated predictors of false-positive test results in relation to factors such as age, cause of death, postmortem interval, drugs, and alcohol. This study describes the results obtained with the Seratec® PSA SemiQuant Kit test in 283 deceased women, with or without a history of sexual assault.

Cutaneous clear cell sarcomas may be confused with melanomas as a result of overlapping histopathology and immunohistochemical staining. We report a case of a 41-year-old woman with a purported history of acral melanoma of the great toe. Twenty-one months after excision of the primary tumor, the patient developed a groin mass, diagnosed as metastatic melanoma on excision.
