Tactile interfaces are essential for enhancing human-machine interactions, yet achieving large-scale, precise distributed force sensing remains challenging due to signal coupling and inefficient data processing. Inspired by the spiral structure of and the processing principles of neuronal systems, this study presents a digital channel-enabled distributed force decoding strategy, resulting in a phygital tactile sensing system named PhyTac. This innovative system effectively prevents marker overlap and accurately identifies multipoint stimuli up to 368 regions from coupled signals.

There are considerable data documenting the importance of early experiences for healthy human development. Though widely accepted amongst mental health clinicians, developmental researchers and early childhood policymakers, this information is not well known by much of the public. We describe a specialized program designed for established and emerging leaders in Louisiana, United States of America, to help them become better informed to take action to support young children and their families and to facilitate connections across sectors for greater impact.

L-3,4-dihydroxyphenylalanine (L-DOPA) remains the main treatment for motor symptoms of Parkinson's disease (PD). However, chronic use is associated with the development of complications such as L-DOPA-induced dyskinesia. We previously demonstrated that LY-487,379, a highly selective metabotropic glutamate receptor 2 (mGluR2) positive allosteric modulator (PAM), reduces the severity of L-DOPA-induced abnormal involuntary movements (AIMs) in the 6-hydroxydopamine (6-OHDA)-lesioned rat model of PD, without interfering with the anti-parkinsonian action of L-DOPA.
