Objectives: Understanding the microscopic pathophysiological mechanisms underlying acute ischemic stroke (AIS) is vital for facilitating early clinical diagnosis and intervention. In this study, we aimed to quantitatively assess brain iron changes in gray matter (GM) nuclei in patients with AIS via quantitative susceptibility mapping (QSM).
Methods: Thirty-four patients with AIS and thirty age-and sex-matched healthy controls (HCs) were included.

Objective: This systematic review seeks to evaluate the prevalence of local symptoms in patients with benign thyroid disease as described in the literature.
Data Sources: A literature search was conducted across PubMed, Embase, Medline, and Cochrane databases.
Review Methods: Crude symptom prevalence was obtained by addition of data across studies that reported local symptoms, and adjusted symptom frequency was calculated using a random effects model.
Restoring leg length during total hip arthroplasty (THA) for femoral neck fracture is challenging due to the lack of an intact femoral neck on the fractured side. Thus, templating methods typically use size of the intact contralateral hip to estimate length. Common reference points include the distance from the lesser trochanter to the center of the femoral head (LTC) and femoral head diameter (FHD).

Tissue engineering and cartilage transplantation constitute an evolving field in the treatment of osteoarthritis, with therapeutic and clinical promise shown in autologous chondrocyte implantation. The aim of this systematic review is to explore current clinical trials that utilized autologous chondrocyte transplantation (ACT) and assess its efficacy in the treatment of osteoarthritis. PubMed, Ovid MEDLINE, and Google-Scholar (pages 1-20) were searched up until February 2023.
