A method employing vinyl polysiloxane and polyethylene chemical tubing to make nasal stents is described. Vinyl polysiloxane stents, when well molded, are comfortable and easily tolerated. The technique has been useful for maintaining patent nares and enhancing graft viability.

Background: This study aimed to compare the precision and trueness of digital impressions of the edentulous arch made with different scanners to conventional physical impressions.
Methods: A total of 40 impressions of a completely edentulous maxillary arch model ( = 10) were made using different digital impressions with an extraoral scanner, E3 3Shape desktop scanner, as the reference scan, intraoral scanner (TRIOS IOS, and Medit IOS) and Vinyl Polysiloxane impressions (VPS) impression using a Computer-Aided Design and Computer-Aided Manufacturing (CAD-CAM) custom tray. The VPS impression was scanned with the desktop scanner to produce standard tessellation language (STL) files for comparison with the digital impressions made by the Desktop and intraoral scanners.

Objective: The aim of this study was to evaluate the effect of distance between dental abutments on the accuracy of one-step and two-step impression techniques with polyvinyl siloxane (PVS) material.
Materials And Methods: Four master models were fabricated with different interabutment distances equal to one, two, three, and four premolar lengths 1-4 (L1, L2, L3, and L4). Seven one-step impressions were taken from each master model using PVS impression material (Group A, n = 7).

Materials And Methods: Thirty-six custom trays were fabricated using self-cure acrylic resin (DPI Cold Cure), light-activated acrylic resin (Voco Individo Lux), and 3D-printed resin (Phrozen Aqua 4k). Each material group was divided into two subgroups based on retention methods: grooves and perforations.

Interocclusal records (IORs) created with bite registration materials (BRMs) accurately reflect the opposing teeth's physiological and anatomical associations in digital and traditional dentistry. This study assessed the linear dimensional accuracy of vinyl polysiloxane-based scannable and transparent BRMs over obligatory clinical time intervals (1, 24, 72, and 168 h/s). A total of 3 scannable [Flexitime Bite, Occlufast CAD, Virtual CADBite] and 3 transparent [Maxill Bite, Charmflex Bite, Defend ClearBite] VPS-based BRMs were divided into 28 subgroups by time interval: 1, 24, 72, and 168 h/s.
