Therapeutic decision-making for older patients with human epidermal growth factor receptor 2 (HER2)-positive breast cancer highlights the importance of a comprehensive geriatric assessment (CGA). This assessment considers the functional status, comorbidities, and relevant conditions of the patient, and allows for an estimation of life expectancy, but it does not facilitate individualized treatment plans. There are also other challenges to consider related to the cardiac toxicity of the treatments and the under-representation of older patients in clinical trials.

This study discusses disseminated intravascular coagulation (DIC) associated with solid cancers and various vascular abnormalities, both of which generally exhibit chronic DIC patterns. The rise in global obesity prevalence has increased the need to understand the pharmacokinetics of drugs in overweight and obese individuals. Tuberculosis remains a significant health challenge, and its treatment outcomes can be influenced by the pharmacokinetic profiles of antitubercular agents. This literature review aims to point out the clinical pharmacokinetics of antitubercular drugs in the overweight and obese patient population, highlighting considerations for potential dosage adjustments.

This study investigates the protective effects of resveratrol (RSV) against heat stress (HS)-induced testicular injury in rats. Climate change has exacerbated heat stress, particularly affecting male fertility by impairing testicular function and sexual behavior. A total of 32 rats were allocated into four experimental groups: control, RSV control, HS control, and RSV + HS.

Background: Most young adults with perinatal HIV (PHIV) transition from pediatric or adolescent to adult clinical care. Although guidelines to increase transition success have been recommended, we know little about uptake of these guidelines, particularly by adult care clinics.
Methods: We administered web-based surveys to adult care providers of young adults with PHIV in Massachusetts to evaluate transition preparation and post-transition evaluation practices.
