Tumor-derived extracellular vesicles (T-EVs) PD-L1 are an important biomarker for predicting immunotherapy response and can help us understand the mechanism of resistance to immunotherapy. However, this is due to the interference from a large proportion of nontumor-derived EVs. It is still challenging to accurately analyze T-EVs PD-L1 in complex human fluids.

Background: Hepatic artery infusion pump (HAIP) chemotherapy is a locoregional treatment for intrahepatic malignancies. HAIPs are surgically implanted, and the catheter tip is typically inserted into a ligated gastroduodenal artery stump. Potential complications at the catheter insertion site include dehiscence, pseudoaneurysm or extravasation, and adjacent hepatic arterial stenosis and thrombosis.

Background: Liver fibrosis is caused by chronic toxic or cholestatic liver injury. Fibrosis results from the recruitment of myeloid cells into the injured liver, the release of inflammatory and fibrogenic cytokines, and the activation of myofibroblasts, which secrete extracellular matrix, mostly collagen type I. Hepatic myofibroblasts originate from liver-resident mesenchymal cells, including HSCs and bone marrow-derived CD45+ collagen type I+ expressing fibrocytes.

Background/aim: To investigate risk factors of late acute remnant pancreatitis after pancreatoduodenectomy (PD), we propose the use of a suturing pitch calculated based on the diameter of the main pancreatic duct and the number of sutures used in the pancreatic duct-to-mucosa anastomosis. This study aimed to determine whether the suturing pitch can predict late acute pancreatitis following PD.
Patients And Methods: This study included 142 patients who underwent elective PD.

Small-for-Size Syndrome (SFSS) remains a critical challenge in living donor liver transplantation (LDLT), characterized by graft insufficiency due to inadequate liver volume, leading to significant postoperative morbidity and mortality. As the global adoption of LDLT increases, the ability to predict and manage SFSS has become paramount in optimizing recipient outcomes. This review provides a comprehensive examination of the pathophysiology, risk factors, and strategies for managing SFSS across the pre-, intra-, and postoperative phases.
