The population morbidity is one of leading indicators of public health. On the basis of morbidity, not only population needs in various types of medical care are determined, but also development of medical organizations network is prognosticated and effectiveness of health care system is assessed. This approach permits to adjust functioning of population medical care services in each Subject of the Russian Federation.

Natural flavonoids have been shown to have many pharmacological activities. Efficient and continuous enrichment of total flavonoids with high content and low mobile phase usage from complex natural products is greatly needed at the moment. In this study, a new continuous chromatography system (CCS) with 6 zones and the 18-column dynamic tandem connection technique was developed and used to enrich total flavonoids from Epimedium koreanum Nakai (EKN).

Background: Accurate pharmacokinetic modelling in PET necessitates measurements of an input function, which ideally is acquired non-invasively from image data. For hepatic pharmacokinetic modelling two input functions need to be considered, to account for the blood supply from the hepatic artery and portal vein. Image-derived measurements at the portal vein are challenging due to its small size and image artifacts caused by respiratory motion.

Background: Cardiac positron emission tomography (PET) offers non-invasive assessment of perfusion and left ventricular (LV) function from a single dynamic scan. However, no prior assessment of mitral regurgitation severity by PET has been presented. Application of indicator dilution techniques and gated image analyses to PET data enables calculation of forward stroke volume and total LV stroke volume.

Biomedical Imaging Research Group (GIBI(230)-PREBI) at La Fe Health Research Institute and Imaging La Fe node at Distributed Network for Biomedical Imaging (ReDIB) Unique Scientific and Technical Infrastructures (ICTS), Valencia, Spain; Medical Imaging Department, Hospital Universitario y Politécnico La Fe, Valencia, Spain.
Introduction And Purpose: We present the needs, design, development, implementation, and accessibility of a crafted experimental PACS (ePACS) system to securely store images, ensuring efficiency and ease of use for AI processing, specifically tailored for research scenarios, including phantoms, animal and human studies and quality assurance (QA) exams. The ePACS system plays a crucial role in any medical imaging departments that handle non-care profile studies, such as protocol adjustments and dummy runs. By effectively segregating non-care profile studies from the healthcare assistance, the ePACS usefully prevents errors both in clinical practice and storage security.
