Introduction: Primary bladder neck obstruction (PBNO) is a rare but significant cause of BOO and LUTS in females, with unclear etiology involving theories of fibrotic narrowing, tissue hyperplasia, or muscle abnormalities. Due to nonspecific symptoms, PBNO diagnosis remains challenging, and optimal surgical treatment needs to be better defined.
Case Presentation: We report two cases of females in their 50s with recurrent urinary retention managed by indwelling catheters.

Obstructive sleep apnea is a globally prevalent concern with significant health impacts, especially when coupled with comorbidities. Accurate detection and localization of airway obstructions are crucial for effective diagnosis and treatment, which remains a challenge for traditional sleep monitoring methods. Here, we report a catheter-based flexible pressure sensor array that continuously monitors soft tissue pressure in the upper airway and facilitates at the millimeter level.

Catheter ablation-based management strategies for the drug-refractory electrical storm (ES) have been proven to abolish acute ventricular arrhythmic episodes and improve long-term outcomes. However, this effect is highly influenced by multiple independently acting factors, which, if identified and addressed, may allow a more tailored management to each particular case to improve results. This review synthesizes existing evidence concerning ES outcome predictors of patients undergoing ablation and introduces the role of novel scoring algorithms to refine risk stratification.

Background: Rupture of the lumbar catheter in lumboperitoneal (LP) shunts is rare and typically occurs due to long-term mechanical stress. The authors describe an unusual case of early postoperative lumbar catheter severing after a fall on the buttocks.
Observations: A 78-year-old woman underwent LP shunt placement for communicating hydrocephalus after aneurysmal subarachnoid hemorrhage.
