A survey meter was developed to reliably detect and visualize surface contamination of suits and objects by α-nuclides in high γ/n-rays background radiation environment. The survey meter features a semi-opaque ZnS:Ag scintillator mounted directly onto a multi-anode photomultiplier tube (MA-PMT) and amplification circuits, ensuring output gain equalization for all channels. α-ray events induce localized light emission in thin-film scintillators.

. We aim to characterize kinetics of radiation-induced optical density in newly released EBT4 radiochromic films exposed to clinical x-rays. Several film models and batches were evaluated for the film sensitivity, optical signal increasing with time, relative film noise, and minimum detectable limits (MDL).

Background: Radiochromic film (RCF) dosimeters with their high spatial resolution and tissue equivalent properties are conveniently used for two-dimensional and small-field dosimetry. OC-1 is a new model of RCF dosimeter that was commercially introduced recently. Due to its novelty there is a need to characterize its response in various radiation beam types.

The study aimed to evaluate dosimetry systems used for stereotactic body radiotherapy (SBRT), specifically 2D array dosimetry and film dosimetry systems, for exploring their characteristics and clinical suitability. For this, high-resolution myQA SRS detectors and Gafchromic EBT-XD films were employed. Film analysis included net optical density (OD) values depending on energy, dose rate, scanner orientation, scanning side, and post-exposure growth.
