Background: Assisted partner services (APSs; sometimes called index testing) are now being brought to scale as a high-yield HIV testing strategy in many nations. However, the success of APSs is often hampered by low levels of partner elicitation. Machine learning approaches often involve evaluating a wide range of models due to various available architectures. This standard strategy can lead to a lack of depth in exploring established methods. In this study, we concentrated our efforts on a single deep learning architecture type to assess whether a focused approach could enhance performance in fault diagnosis.

Purpose: To investigate the heritability of genetic influence on macular choroidal vascularity index (CVI).
Methods: Total choroidal area (TCA), luminal area (LA), and CVI was measured using horizontal scan of spectral-domain optical coherence tomography with enhanced depth imaging in the 373 healthy twin participants. Characteristics of the participants were investigated, including age, sex, axial length, hypertension, diabetes, drinking habits, and smoking status.

Importance: Transportation insecurity and lack of social support are 2 understudied social determinants of health that contribute to excess morbidity, mortality, and acute health care utilization. However, whether and how these social determinants of health are associated with cancer screening has not been determined and has implications for preventive care.
Objective: To determine whether transportation insecurity or social support are associated with screening adherence for colorectal, breast, and cervical cancer.

Background: Concept maps are a suitable method for teaching clinical reasoning (CR). For example, in a concept map, findings, tests, differential diagnoses, and treatment options can be documented and connected to each other. When combined with virtual patients, automated feedback can be provided to the students' concept maps.
