This investigation aimed to enhance transdermal methotrexate delivery through human skin by employing Dr. Pen microneedles and poly(d,l-lactide--glycolide) acid microparticles formulated from eight polymer grades (Expansorb DLG 95-4A, DLG 75-5A, DLG 50-2A, DLG 50-5A, DLG 50-8A, DLG 50-6P, DLG 50-7P, and DLL 10-15A). A comprehensive characterization of the microparticles was performed, encompassing various parameters such as size, charge, morphology, microencapsulation efficiency, yield, release kinetics, and chemical composition.

Background: Dietary therapy strategies play an important role in the treatment of pediatric patients with Crohn's disease (CD), but the relative efficacy of different dietary therapy strategies for Crohn's remission is unknown. This study aims to compare the effectiveness and tolerance of these dietary therapy strategies for active pediatric CD.
Methods: We searched the medical literature up to August 30, 2024 to identify randomized controlled trials (RCTs) of dietary therapy strategies for pediatric CD.

Objectives: We described the range and types of objective measures of attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) in children and young people (CYP) reported in research that can be applied in naturalistic settings.
Design: Scoping review using best practice methods.
Data Sources: MEDLINE, APA PsycINFO, Embase, (via OVID); British Education Index, Education Resources Information Centre, Education Abstracts, Education Research Complete, Child Development and Adolescent Papers, Cumulative Index to Nursing and Allied Health Literature (CINAHL), Psychology and Behavioural Sciences Collection (via EBSCO) were searched between 1 December 2021 and 28 February 2022.

Although genomic selection has led to considerable improvements in genetic gain, it has also seemingly led to increased rates of inbreeding and homozygosity, which can negatively affect genetic diversity and the long-term sustainability of dairy populations. Using genotypes from US Holstein animals from 3 distinct stud populations, we performed a simulation study consisting of 10 rounds of selection, with each breeding population composed of 200 males and 2,000 females. The investigated selection strategies consisted of selection using true breeding values, EBV, EBV penalized for the average future genomic inbreeding of progeny (PEN-EBV), or random selection (RAND).
