Bioabsorbable internal fixation is a well-accepted modality that is especially suitable for application in craniosynostosis. When first introduced, high rates of adverse tissue reactions were observed that have since been ameliorated with more biocompatible polymer formulations. However, the phenomenon has not entirely disappeared, and such reactions remain vexing.

This investigation represents porothermoelastic asphalt material with thermal shock due to multi-phase lag model of thermoelasticity. By applying proper boundary conditions to the normal mode approach, we were able to achieve the precise solution. The graphs provide numerical results for the physical quantities supplied in physical domain.

In this work, selenium (IV) ions were adsorbed from aqueous solutions by the strongly basic anion exchange resin Amberlite IRA-400. The morphology of the resin before and after Se(IV) sorption was investigated using different techniques such as energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDX), Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), and scanning electron microscopy (SEM). To determine the ideal sorption conditions, a batch approach was used to examine the variables affecting Se(IV) sorption performance, including pH, shaking time, adsorbent dosage, initial metal ion concentration, and temperature.

Objective: The mechanical stimulation known as orthodontic mechanical force (OMF) causes biological reactions in orthodontic tooth movement (OTM). Heat shock protein-70 (HSP-70) needs pro-inflammatory cytokines to trigger bone resorption in OTM; nevertheless, heat shock protein-10 (HSP-10), a "Alarmin" cytokine, should control these pro-inflammatory cytokines to get the best alveolar bone remodeling (ABR). High-temperature wastewaters can themselves activate peroxydisulfate (PDS) to remove aromatic contaminants via polymerization. This, however, may result in an insufficient carbon source for denitrification during biochemical treatment, and the formed polymers, without a proper reuse method, will be costly to handle as hazardous waste. This study demonstrates that the addition of NaOH can suppress the polymerization of aromatic contaminants, which is observed not only in simulated wastewater but also in actual coking wastewater (ACW).
