An impeded blood flow through the femoral head is incriminated in the etiopathogenesis of osteonecrosis of the femoral head. The disorder is either primary (idiopathic avascular osteonecrosis) or secondary to one condition or another, say, corticosteroid medication, fracture of the neck, coagulation defects, physical or thermal damage, storage disorders, alcoholism, and infectious, autoimmune as also marrow infiltrating diseases. In the wake of the necrosis, several mediators are released in increased amounts, prime among which is the vascular endothelial growth factor.

The Fernand Widal syndrome combines a nasal polyposis, an asthma and aspirin sensitivity. It remains a nosological entity often unrecognized because of the trivialization of aspirin in-take on the one hand the other its etiopathogenesis which has not yet been clarified because of the inhibition of the cyclo-oxygenase. In actual fact the aspirin molecule has yet to reveal all its secrets (advantages and disadvantages).

We describe a 68-year old woman affected by chronic hepatitis C virus infection; hypertransaminasemia was first observed at the age of 46 years, when the patient was diagnosed uterus carcinoma. Since 1994 she had complained of xerostomia, xerophtalmia, pain at the left parotid and laterocervical adenomegaly. Neck ultrasound examination revealed enlarged intraglandular, submandibular and laterocervical lymph nodes.
