Infertility and assisted reproduction treatment (ART) are frequently accompanied by the experience of emotional disorders. Psychological interventions are available for infertile populations, but the barriers of current face-to-face models of care difficult their dissemination. This systematic review (PROSPERO: CRD4202340179) aims to summarize how technologies are used in telemedicine psychological programs to manage emotional disorders in women undergoing fertility treatments.

Maladaptive emotion regulation (ER) strategies are a transdiagnostic construct in psychopathology. ER depends on cognitive control, so brain activity associated with cognitive control, such as frontal theta and beta, may be a factor in ER. This study investigated the association of theta and beta power with positive affect and whether emotion regulation strategies explain this association.

Background: Deficient neural activities during emotion regulation have been reported in depression. We sought to conduct a meta-analysis to provide a comprehensive description of these neural alterations during use of emotion regulation strategies among patients with depression, including major depressive disorder (MDD) and bipolar disorder (BD).

Methods: We identified neuroimaging studies of abnormal neural activities during emotion regulation in depression.

Emotion classification using electroencephalographic (EEG) data is a challenging task in the field of Artificial Intelligence. While many researchers have focused on finding the best model or feature extraction technique to achieve optimal results, few have attempted to select the best methodological steps for working with the dataset. In this study, we applied two different theoretical approaches based on the noise of the dataset: curriculum learning and confident learning.

Article Synopsis
  • There is currently a lack of comparative studies on liver transplantation (LT) versus liver resection (LR) for locally advanced hepatoblastoma, resulting in a significant evidence gap that complicates the development of treatment guidelines.
  • In a systematic review, 189 patients from 55 studies were analyzed, comparing outcomes between those undergoing LT and those who received LR, showing differing rates of local and distant recurrence but similar overall and event-free survival rates for both treatments.
  • The findings indicate that LR is a viable alternative to LT for these patients, as the outcomes are comparable and both treatments have favorable results.
