Unlabelled: Breast cancer (BC) remains a highly heterogeneous disease, complicating diagnosis and treatment. This study investigates the prognostic significance of Anillin () and Kinase Insert Domain Receptor () genes, focusing on their mutational and expression landscapes in BC using data from The Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA). We found that high expression is strongly associated with poor overall survival, highlighting its potential as a robust prognostic marker.

The reactivation of heterotrimeric protein phosphatase 2A (PP2A) through small molecule activators is of interest to therapeutic intervention due to its dysregulation, which is linked to chronic conditions. This study focuses on the PP2A scaffold subunit PR65 and a small molecule activator, ATUX-8385, designed to bind directly to this subunit. Using a label-free single-molecule approach with nanoaperture optical tweezers (NOT), we quantify its binding, obtaining a dissociation constant of 13.

Questions about when early members of the genus adapted to extreme environments like deserts and rainforests have traditionally focused on . Here, we present multidisciplinary evidence from Engaji Nanyori in Tanzania's Oldupai Gorge, revealing that thrived in hyperarid landscapes one million years ago. Using biogeochemical analyses, precise chronometric dating, palaeoclimate simulations, biome modeling, fire history reconstructions, palaeobotanical studies, faunal assemblages, and archeological evidence, we reconstruct an environment dominated by semidesert shrubland.

Algebraic structures are highly effective in designing symmetric key cryptosystems; however, if the key space is not sufficiently large, such systems become vulnerable to brute-force attacks. To address this challenge, our research focuses on enlarging the key space in symmetric key schemes by integrating the non-chain ring with a four-dimensional chaotic system. While chaotic maps offer significant potential for data processing, relying solely on them does not fully leverage their operational advantages.

Unlabelled: The review deals with the application of Molecular Dynamics (MD) to the structure modeling of beta-amyloids (Aβ), currently classified as intrinsically disordered proteins (IDPs). In this review, we strive to relate the main advances in this area but specifically focus on the approaches and methodology. All relevant papers on the Aβ modeling are cited in the Tables in Supplementary Data, including a concise description of the applied approaches, sorted according to the types of the studied systems: modeling of the monomeric Aβ and Aβ aggregates.
