Objective: Individuals with hypopituitarism (HPs) have an increased risk of developing non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD)/non-alcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH) due to growth hormone deficiency (GHD). We aimed to investigate the possible mechanisms underlying the relationship between GHD and NAFLD using proteomic and metabolomic insights.
Methods: Serum metabolic alternations were assessed in male HPs using untargeted metabolomics.

Background: Pituitary apoplexy is a neurosurgical emergency and is a known yet rare complication of pituitary macroadenoma. Patients typically present with visual field defects, headache and altered sensorium. There are multiple risk factors for this complication and a thorough drug history is essential to exclude iatrogenic causes of disease.

Introduction: Prolactinomas resulting in pituitary apoplexy are an uncommon obstetrical complication. The hemorrhage can cause compression and necrosis of the pituitary gland as well as the optic chiasm, necessitating surgical intervention.
Case: A 35-year-old woman, G0, presented for an infertility consult with a prior diagnosis of polycystic ovarian syndrome.
