Background: Lecanemab, a novel humanized immunoglobulin G1 monoclonal antibody targeting both neurotoxic Aβ protofibrils and Aβ plaques, has demonstrated the ability to substantially reduce markers of amyloid and significantly slow clinical decline on multiple measures of cognition and function in early AD in phase 2 (Study 201) and phase 3 (Clarity AD) studies. In these clinical studies, several plasma biomarkers assessments (Aβ42/40 ratio, p-tau181, GFAP, and p-tau217) showed improvements comparing lecanemab with placebo. Herein, we utilized modelling and simulations to evaluate the long-term effects of lecanemab on biomarkers of neurodegeneration in plasma.

Various treatment options, such as plate osteosynthesis or retrograde nailing, can be employed. This study aims to evaluate the clinical outcomes and complications of intraarticular distal femoral fractures treated with retrograde femoral nail, with particular emphasis on C3 fractures.

Herein, NaCl-templated mesoporous hard carbons (NMCs) have been designed and engineered with tunable surface properties as anode materials for potassium-ion batteries (KIBs) and hybrid capacitors (KICs). By utilizing "water-in-oil" emulsions, the size of NaCl templates is precisely modified, leading to smaller particles that enable the formation of primary carbon structures with reduced particle size and secondary structures with 3D interconnected mesoporosity. These features significantly enhance electrode density, reduce particle-to-particle resistance, and improve electrolyte wettability.

Background: Avoidant/restrictive food intake disorder (ARFID) may result in significant medical sequelae. Compared to youth with eating disorders like anorexia nervosa (AN), youth with ARFID tend to be younger and are more likely to be male. We aim to describe sex differences in clinical characteristics of youth hospitalized for medical complications of ARFID and compare their characteristics with youth hospitalized for anorexia nervosa.

Background: There is a growing importance of loneliness measurement through valid and reliable instruments. However, to establish valid and reliable measures, there is a need to explore their psychometric properties in different research settings and language environments. For this reason, this study aimed to validate the Three Item Loneliness Scale (TILS) in the Czech Republic within a Slavonic language environment.
