Background: Sepsis-associated acute kidney injury (SA-AKI) is common among patients admitted to the intensive care unit (ICU) with sepsis.
Aims: This study aimed to demonstrate an association between an episode of SA-AKI and progression to dialysis dependence, with a view to identifying a cohort who may be suitable for intensive nephrology follow-up.
Methods: Design: Retrospective data-linkage cohort study.

Objective: Glycemic outcomes in youth with type 1 diabetes (T1D) in the United States using the two most common automated insulin delivery (AID) systems, Insulet Omnipod 5 (OP5) and Tandem Control IQ (CIQ), have not been compared. We performed the first head-to-head analysis of changes in glycemic metrics among youth initiating AID.
Methods: This single center, retrospective study included youth <21 years with T1D, who started OP5 or CIQ between 1/2020 and 12/2023, and had ≥70% CGM active time.

Four-legged robots are becoming increasingly pivotal in navigating challenging environments, such as construction sites and disaster zones. While substantial progress in robotic mobility has been achieved using reinforcement learning techniques, quadruped animals exhibit superior agility by employing fundamentally different strategies. Bio-inspired controllers have been developed to replicate and understand biological locomotion strategies.

Introduction: Fetoscopic laser surgery (FLS) is the gold standard treatment for monochorionic (MC) twin pregnancies complicated by twin-twin transfusion syndrome (TTTS). The aim of our study was to evaluate the rate and risk factors for cord entanglement in the presence of iatrogenic monoamnioticity (iMA), a consequence of inadvertent septostomy during FLS.
Methods: This is a retrospective analysis of two consecutive cohorts of FLS performed either using the selective technique from January 2004 to January 2012, or with the Solomon technique, from that date onwards.

Objectives: This study evaluates and compares outcomes of arteriovenous fistulas (AVFs) created in a dialysis access dedicated office-based laboratory (OBL) and outpatient hospital setting.
Methods: All consecutive outpatient surgical autologous AVFs created at an academic hospital, community hospital, and an OBL from 2016-2020 were reviewed. Demographics, comorbidities, surgical procedure, complications, maturation, patency, and procedures for maintenance were assessed from time of surgical evaluation to latest available documentation.
