Understanding the dynamics of injected charge carriers is crucial for the analysis of the perovskite light-emitting diode (PeLED) operation. The behavior of the injected carriers largely dictates the external quantum efficiency (EQE) roll-off at high current densities and the temperature dependence of the EQE in PeLEDs. However, limitations such as sample capacitance and external circuitry hinder precise control of carrier injection rates, making it challenging to directly track the dynamics of individual carriers.

Solvent-modulated preparation of lead-free CsBiIpolycrystalline film for high-performance photodetectors.

Nanotechnology

January 2025

School of Instrumentation Science and Opto-electronics Engineering, Beijing Information Science and Technology University, 12 Qinghe Xiaoying East Road, Xisanqi Street, Haidian District, Beijing, Beijing, 100192, CHINA.

Lead-free cesium bismuth iodide (CsBiI) perovskite exhibits extraordinary optoelectronic properties and attractive potential in various optoelectronic devices, especially the application for photodetectors. However, most CsBiIphotodetectors demonstrated poor detection performance due to the difficulty in obtaining high-quality polycrystalline films. Therefore, it makes sense to modulate the preparation of high-quality CsBiIpolycrystalline films and expand its applications.

Translational Glycomics Research Group, Research Institute of Biomolecular and Chemical Engineering, University of Pannonia, Veszprem, Hungary; Horváth Csaba Memorial Laboratory of Bioseparation Sciences, Research Center for Molecular Medicine, Faculty of Medicine, University of Debrecen, Hungary. Electronic address:

Sodium dodecyl sulfate capillary gel electrophoresis (SDS-CGE) is a frequently used analytical technique in size-based separation of proteins, playing a vital role in the biopharmaceutical industry for the analysis and characterization of therapeutic proteins, employing both UV and fluorescent detection. Understanding the effect of the operational parameters using easily applicable in migratio fluorescent labeling is increasingly critical, especially because multicapillary electrophoresis systems with fluorescent detection have recently gained prominence in high-throughput biopolymer analysis. In this study, the effects of the three most important user-adjustable operational parameters (temperature, gel concentration, and electric field strength) were investigated on the electrophoretic mobility and resolution of SDS-protein complexes in the presence of propidium iodide in the gel-buffer system.

To advance off-grid energy solutions, developing flexible photobatteries capable of direct light charging is essential. This study presents an innovative photobattery architecture that incorporates zinc oxide (ZnO) as an electron-transporting and hole-blocking layer, combined with a hybrid methylammonium tin iodide composite with poly-triarylamine (MASnI/PTAA) for light absorption and hole transport. PTAA facilitates efficient hole transport to the anode, thereby enhancing charge separation and reducing recombination losses.

The goal of this research is to develop and characterize low-cost NHI doped polyvinyl alcohol (PVA)-4-ethyl-4-methylmorpholiniumbromide (ionic liquid) anion exchange membranes (AEM) and its application for membrane cathode assembly. Physical characterization like FTIR, POM, and XRD notified the functional groups, basic structure, and amorphosity of the produced membrane, and it was employed in single-chambered microbial fuel cells (sMFCs) as a separator. The membranes in terms of oxygen diffusion, proton conductivity, and ion exchange capabilities were evaluated.
