Background/aim: Lymphangioleiomyomatosis (LAM) belongs to the perivascular epithelioid cell tumor (PEComa) family. The relationship between LAM and tuberous sclerosis complex (TSC) is of particular concern in a subset of women with clinically occult LAM involving the pelvic lymph nodes. This study aimed to investigate the clinicopathological features of incidental nodal LAM detected during the surgical staging of gynecological tumors.

Cerebral cavernous malformations (CCMs) are angiographically occult vascular lesions that present with a variety of neurological symptoms, including seizures, features of raised intracranial pressure and focal neurological deficits. In extremely rare circumstances, CCMs have presented with concomitant brain abscess formation. To date, five cases have previously been reported, the majority of which have affected patients aged 16 years or older.

Purpose: Evaluate if low-frequency bladder vibration (LFBV) combined with clean intermittent catheterization (CIC) alleviated urinary tract infections (UTIs) in spinal cord injury (SCI) patients with neurogenic bladder (NB).
Methods: A single-blind randomized controlled trial was conducted. Patients who developed UTIs while rehabilitating from SCI were enrolled continuously between January 2021 and March 2023 and randomly assigned to the control or the intervention group.

Pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC) is the third leading cause of cancer-related deaths in the United States, largely due to its poor five-year survival rate and frequent late-stage diagnosis. A significant barrier to early detection even in high-risk cohorts is that the pancreas often appears morphologically normal during the pre-diagnostic phase. Yet, the disease can progress rapidly from subclinical stages to widespread metastasis, undermining the effectiveness of screening.

Background: Hepatitis B virus (HBV) infection remains a major health challenge in Nigeria, with high prevalence rates among pregnant women. The prevalence of overt and occult hepatitis B infection (HBI and HBI) among pregnant women was investigated to understand the burden and associated risk factors in this population.
Methods: A cross-sectional study was conducted among 200 pregnant women.
