Purpose: To investigate the relationship between serum uric acid (SUA) levels and femoral neck bone mineral density (BMD) in patients with metabolic dysfunction-associated fatty liver disease (MAFLD).
Patients And Methods: This cross-sectional study included 597 adult inpatients with type 2 diabetes mellitus and ultrasonography-confirmed fatty liver disease. Participants were stratified into tertiles based on femoral neck BMD.

We investigated the metabolome of the iron- and sulfur-oxidizing, extremely thermoacidophilic archaeon grown on mineral pyrite (FeS). The extraction of organic materials from these microorganisms is a major challenge because of the tight contact and interaction between cells and mineral materials. Therefore, we applied an improved protocol to break the microbial cells and separate their organic constituents from the mineral surface, to extract lipophilic compounds through liquid-liquid extraction, and performed metabolomics analyses using MALDI-TOF MS and UHPLC-UHR-Q/TOF.

The essential cause of menopause is ovarian failure, which can cause decline in sex hormones (especially estrogen) that can increase the risk of metabolic diseases, such as cardiovascular disease and osteoporosis. This study screened 1511 eligible patients from 2148 perimenopausal and postmenopausal women, measuring various physiological and biochemical indicators to analyze differences among age groups (40-44, 45-49, and 50-54 years) with laboratory techniques. The study found no significant difference in the incidence of cardiovascular disease betweenperimenopausal and postmenopausal women.

Maize seedlings in cold regions and high latitude often face abiotic stress. As a result, weak seedlings affect maize production, The commonly used seed coating agents in production are mainly to prevent biological stress of pests and diseases, and have little effect on seedling vigor and abiotic resistance. In this experiment, the combination of graphene oxide (GO) and seed coating agent can effectively prevent pests and diseases and increase the growth of seedlings.
