This paper aims to present our experience of 7 cases of spastic children, using sonoelastography in assessing the muscle spasticity: the relaxed muscle structures appear mostly soft (green-yellow-red), while contracted or degenerated muscle fibers appear hard (blue). Using sonoelastographic findings we established the proper place for injecting the botulinum toxin (20 U/kg Dysport) into the affected muscle. The result was a precise, guided injection, with positive, therapeutic results.

HUS was recently described following scorpion sting. We report 2 cases of HUS in the intensive care unit of a university hospital. Two children aged respectively 10 months and 1 year were admitted in the ICU after severe scorpion envenomation (with coma and pulmonary oedema) having required dobutamine and mechanical ventilation.

Medical treatment of Buruli ulcer is mostly disappointing even if Mycobacterium ulcerans is susceptible to many antibacterial drugs. The inefficiency in vivo of the drugs may be due to the tissue vascularisation disorders caused by the toxin that Mycobacterium ulcerans produces. This toxin causes an endarteritis followed by a thrombosis of the dermal vessels responsible for an ischemia which prevents the antibacterial drugs from reaching the infected area.
