Objective: To evaluate the efficacy of double filtration plasmapheresis combined with immunosuppressive agents in the treatment of severe lupus nephritis.
Method: A retrospective analysis was conducted on the medical records of 102 cases of severe lupus nephritis treated between January 2021 and December 2022 in the General Practice Department at the Affiliated Hospital of North Sichuan Medical College. Patients who received immunosuppressive agents were included in the control group and those who received additional double filtration plasmapheresis were included in the observation group.
Tumor necrosis factor-alpha (TNF-α) inhibitors are commonly used for management of various autoimmune disorders but can rarely cause isolated cutaneous lupus. This report presents two cases of cutaneous lupus erythematosus (LE) in women aged 38 and 61 after adalimumab treatment for psoriasis highlighting the importance of recognizing these paradoxical reactions for timely management.

Recent advances in single-cell RNA-Sequencing (scRNA-Seq) technologies have revolutionized our ability to gather molecular insights into different phenotypes at the level of individual cells. The analysis of the resulting data poses significant challenges, and proper statistical methods are required to analyze and extract information from scRNA-Seq datasets. Sample classification based on gene expression data has proven effective and valuable for precision medicine applications.

Systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) is a multisystem autoimmune rheumatic disease (ARD) that results from the dysregulation of multiple innate and adaptive immune pathways. Late-onset SLE (Lo-SLE) is the term used when the disease is first diagnosed after 50-65 years, though the standard age cut-off remains undefined. Defining "late-onset" as lupus with onset after 50 years is more biologically plausible as this roughly corresponds to the age of menopause.
