Glycolysis provides tumors with abundant nutrients through glucose (Glu) metabolism. As a therapeutic target, precise targeting and effective inhibition of the glycolysis process remains a major challenge in anti-metabolic therapy. In this study, a novel dual-template molecularly imprinted polymer (D-MIP), capable of specifically recognizing glucose transporter member 1 (GLUT1) and hexokinase-2 (HK2) was prepared for anti-glycolytic tumor therapy.

Rice-fish farming is an ancient and enduring aquaculture model in China. This study aimed to assess the variations in digestive enzymes, antioxidant properties, glucose metabolism, and nutritional content between reared in paddy fields and ponds. Notably, the levels of amylase and trypsin in from rice paddies were considerably higher compared to those from ponds.

Food allergies are pathological adverse reactions against harmless dietary proteins. Immune priming confers a sustained, augmented response of innate immune cells to a secondary challenge, a process that is characteristically reliant on metabolic reprogramming. Recent evidence suggests that histone demethylases play essential roles in the immune priming, while its regulation role in the metabolic reprogramming remains largely unknown. In the present study, the concentration of glucose was significantly down-regulated in the hemocytes of crab after secondary stimulation with , while the expression levels of phosphofructokinase (PFK) pyruvate kinase (PK), hexokinase-2 (HK-2) and Glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase (G-6-PD), along with the concentrations of lactate and the ratio of NAD/NADH, were elevated.

Background: With the global increase in metabolic disorders, identifying effective dietary strategies is crucial for enhancing health outcomes. While various health advantages of alkaline reduced water (ARW) have been documented, its specific impacts on glucose and lipid metabolism in both healthy and diabetic conditions are still not well understood.
Methods: This study investigates how ARW affects carbohydrate and lipid metabolism in male Wistar rats, which were induced to develop glucose metabolism disorders through subcutaneous injections of nicotinamide and streptozotocin (STZ).
