Acute massive pulmonary thromboembolism (PTE) is a potentially life-threatening condition requiring urgent management to decrease mortality. However, in the peripheral setting, managing the emergency can be challenging. We report a case of massive PTE presenting with cardiopulmonary arrest, successfully managed with advanced cardiac life support, early initiation of anticoagulants (heparin), and thrombolytics.

Background: Post-surgical tendon adhesion formation is a frequent clinical complication with limited treatment options. The aim of this study is to investigate safety and efficacy of orally administration of crocin in attenuating post-operative tendon-sheath adhesion bands in an Achilles tendon rat model.
Methods: Structural, mechanical, histological, and biochemical properties of Achilles tendons were analyzed in the presence and absence of crocin.

Background: Evidence for Mobile Stroke Units (MSUs) demonstrates that onset to treatment times for intravenous thrombolysis can be reduced and access to mechanical thrombectomy might be improved. Despite growing use of MSUs internationally, to date there have been no studies in NHS England and NHS Wales exploring the acceptability of MSUs to clinicians, patient and public representatives and other key stakeholders, which are important when considering potential feasibility and implementation.
Methods: This study used a mixed methods design with a cross-sectional survey and qualitative workshops and interviews between October 2023 to May 2024.

Trauma-induced coagulopathy (TIC) is characterized by dynamic changes in fibrinolysis, which can significantly impact patient outcomes. These changes typically manifest in two phases: hyperfibrinolysis followed by fibrinolysis suppression. In the early stages of TIC, there is often an overwhelming release of tissue plasminogen activator, which leads to excessive fibrinolysis.

Objective: To analyze the dynamics of clinical and epidemiological indicators of stroke and the features of providing specialized care to patients in the Moscow region in the period 2019-2023.
Material And Methods: Mortality rates, the average annual population, and the number of deaths in one-year age groups were analyzed based on the «Brief Nomenclature of Causes of Death» by ROSSTAT and the database of the Registry Office of the Moscow Region. Depersonalized data on deceased individuals aged 18 years and older were obtained from this database, including codes and names of diseases or conditions specified in Parts I and II of the medical death certificate, age, sex, and place of death for the period 2019-2023.
