For understanding up-to-date situation with fibrosis caused by chrysotile-asbestos, the authors conducted X-ray and hygienic studies in 2 enterprises extracting and enriching asbestos--"Tuvaasbest" JSC and "Orenbourgasbest" JSC. Authors followed correlation between diffuse pulmonary changes and length of service, dust load and cumulative exposure dose of respirable fibers. The strongest correlation was demonstrated for dust load.

The paper is devoted to clinico-roentgenological correlations of venous reno-gonadal hemodynamics in 168 women of reproductive age (151 women with infertility, habitual abortion, disordered menstrual function and 17 patients without disorders of the reproductive tract). Clinico-laboratory investigation was followed by visceral and parietal phlebography for the detection of a pathological venous reflux into the ovarian pampiniform plexus. A retrograde blood flow along the internal ovarian vein with the development of venostasis and secondary pelvic varicocele was diagnosed in 67 women with disturbed reproductive function.

A direct correlation has been found between the degree of clinico-roentgenological manifestations of the disease and level of serum alpha 1-inhibitor of proteinases as well as between the efficacy of treatment and normalization of the antiproteolytic activity of the blood of the patients. It proposed to use the determination of alpha 1-inhibitor of proteinases as an additional criterion of evaluation of the clinical course and outcomes of the disease in adolescents.

Deficiency of the antiproteolytic activity was observed in all the impairments studied, whereas elastase-like and fibrinolytic activities were distinctly increased in sarcoidosis and exogenous allergic alveolitis. Impairments of bronchial mucose, pathogenic microflora, increase in content of neutrophils in respiratory tract as well as potential deficiency of the body inhibitory system were responsible for disbalance in the system proteinases-inhibitors of bronchoalveolar lavage.

Indices characterizing the cellular and humoral immunity links, were, to a large extent, related to a course of disease (complicated, uncomplicated). The most significant changes in the immune status were noted inn patients with acute pneumonia developing in the presence of chronic bronchitis.
