Conjunctival malignant melanoma is extremely rare, with no standard of care established at moment. Here we report a 65-year-old woman, as a hepatitis B virus (HBV) carrier, who presented concurrently a liver mass and lower bulbar conjunctival pigmented lesions in the right eye. Needle liver biopsy and excisional conjunctival biopsy showed hepatocellular carcinoma and conjunctival malignant melanoma , respectively.

Chronic venous insufficiency (CVI) is a global health concern with significant public health and individual impact. Currently available diagnostic methods cannot visualize microvenous pathologies that have shown to result in severe forms of CVI and also affect the skin. Optical coherence tomography angiography (OCTA) may close the CVI diagnostic gap by providing a fast, label-free, and non-invasive solution to visualize cutaneous microvasculature.

Purpose: Oral isotretinoin is a derivative of vitamin A, used to treat acne vulgaris. One of its effects is altering the corneal surface and ocular glands, resulting in eye dryness and various other symptoms. This study aimed to analyze the impact of systemic isotretinoin treatment on ocular health and investigate the potential risk factors contributing to ocular pathology.

Background: To evaluate the 6-year physiological rates-of-change in ganglion cell inner plexiform layer (GCIPL) and retinal nerve fibre layer (RNFL) thickness measured with optical coherence tomography.
Methods: We included 2202 out of 2661 subjects from the population-based Singapore Chinese Eye Study who returned for follow-up 6 years after baseline examination (follow-up rate 87.7%).

To develop an atrophic Meibomian Gland Dysfunction (MGD) animal model via liquid nitrogen cryotherapy, the eyelid edges of C57 mice exposure to liquid nitrogen for 30 s. Morphology of MG and ocular surface were assessed using stereomicroscopy and a slit lamp microscope at multiple time points post-injury. Acinar loss and atrophy were observed from day 7, with increased inflammation and apoptosis, and decreased proliferation in acinar cells.
