Purpose: Investigating high performance thermoplastic polymers as substitutes to titanium alloy, in fabrication of implants and attachments to support mandibular overdenture, aiming to overcome stress shielding effect of titanium alloy implants. AIM OF STUDY: Assessment of stress distribution in polymeric prosthetic components and bone around polymeric implants, in case of implant-supported mandibular overdenture.
Materials And Methods: 3D finite element model was established for mandibular overdenture, supported bilaterally by two implants at canine region, and retained by two ball attachments.

Objectives: In axial spondyloarthritis (axSpA), entheseal involvement is common, which contributes significantly to disease burden and may also lead to structural damage. Although radiographs of the pelvis are widely available in axSpA, information on entheseal damage and associated characteristics are lacking. Therefore, we assessed the prevalence of radiographic entheseal lesions at the pelvic region in radiographic (r-) axSpA compared with controls and explored associations with patient and disease characteristics.

Background: Transcatheter renal denervation (RDN) remains inconsistent despite developments in ablation technologies, due to the lack of an intraprocedural physiological end point.
Objective: To identify whether aorticorenal ganglion (ARG) guided RDN using microwave (MW) catheter leads to more consistent denervation outcomes compared with empirical MW ablation.
Methods: Pigs underwent sham procedure (n=8) or bilateral RDN using an in-house built open-irrigated MW catheter.

Although aberrant changes in grey and white matter are core features of idiopathic dystonia, few studies have explored the correlation between grey and white matter changes in this disease. This study aimed to investigate the coupling correlation between morphological and microstructural alterations in patients with idiopathic dystonia. Structural T1 imaging and diffusion tensor imaging were performed on a relatively large cohort of patients.

A 15-year-old girl presented with new onset tonic-clonic seizures, encephalopathy, abdominal pain, and hypertension with a history of weight loss and emesis. Brain magnetic resonance imaging scans showed diffuse, bilateral cortical and subcortical gray and white matter signal abnormalities. Electroencephalography showed background slowing and disorganization.
