Introduction: Skin-to-skin contact (SSC) offers multiple benefits in preterm newborns (PTNBs), but its implementation can be delayed due to the presence of some devices such as umbilical venous catheters (UVCs). Our objective was to evaluate the practice of SSC in PTNBs in Spanish neonatal units and how the type of catheter affects its initiation.

Methods: We distributed a survey through the Sociedad Española de Neonatología to Spanish neonatal units, analyzing the timing of SSC initiation and the influence on this practice of the types of devices being used.

Inspired by the "Salvinia effect", a novel method for fabricating a magneto-responsive superhydrophobic surface coated with a cluster-distributed cilia array (CC-MRSS) was reported. This surface features a magnetically self-assembled nonuniform microcilia array and demonstrates exceptional microdroplet hydrophobicity, magnetic-responsive wettability, and corrosion resistance. The fabrication process involved mixing polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) and carbonyl iron powders (CIPs), followed by dividing the mixture into two parts.

Department of Medical Laboratory Sciences, College of Applied Medical Sciences, University of Bisha, Bisha, 61922 P.O. Box 551, Saudi Arabia; Department of Clinical Chemistry, Faculty of Medical Laboratory Sciences, University of Elmam El Mahdi, Kosti, 209 P.O. Box 27711, Sudan.

The study aims to evaluate the significant role of interleukin 15 (IL-15), IL-22, IL-37, and Caspase 9 gene expression in polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), focusing on the underlying mechanisms and potential diagnostic or therapeutic implications. Peripheral blood has been collected, and serum was separated for the evaluation of the serum IL-15, IL-22, and IL-37. The ELISA technique has been carried out to determine the serum levels of understudied factors mentioned above in Iraqi women patients diagnosed with PCOS (No.
