Background: Post-surgical tendon adhesion formation is a frequent clinical complication with limited treatment options. The aim of this study is to investigate safety and efficacy of orally administration of crocin in attenuating post-operative tendon-sheath adhesion bands in an Achilles tendon rat model.
Methods: Structural, mechanical, histological, and biochemical properties of Achilles tendons were analyzed in the presence and absence of crocin.

Trauma-induced coagulopathy (TIC) is characterized by dynamic changes in fibrinolysis, which can significantly impact patient outcomes. These changes typically manifest in two phases: hyperfibrinolysis followed by fibrinolysis suppression. In the early stages of TIC, there is often an overwhelming release of tissue plasminogen activator, which leads to excessive fibrinolysis.

Objective: To analyze the dynamics of clinical and epidemiological indicators of stroke and the features of providing specialized care to patients in the Moscow region in the period 2019-2023.
Material And Methods: Mortality rates, the average annual population, and the number of deaths in one-year age groups were analyzed based on the «Brief Nomenclature of Causes of Death» by ROSSTAT and the database of the Registry Office of the Moscow Region. Depersonalized data on deceased individuals aged 18 years and older were obtained from this database, including codes and names of diseases or conditions specified in Parts I and II of the medical death certificate, age, sex, and place of death for the period 2019-2023.

Aortic valve calcification results from degenerative processes associated with several pathologies. These processes are influenced by age, chronic inflammation, and high concentrations of phosphate ions in the plasma, which contribute to induce mineralization in the aortic valve and deterioration of cardiovascular health. Environmental factors, such as wood smoke that emits harmful and carcinogenic pollutants, carbon monoxide (CO), and nitrogen oxide (NO), as well as other reactive compounds may also be implicated.

Stroke is one of the most devastating pathologies in terms of mortality, cause of dementia, major adult disability, and socioeconomic burden worldwide. Despite its severity, treatment options remain limited, with no pharmacological therapies available for hemorrhagic stroke (HS) and only fibrinolytic therapy or mechanical thrombectomy for ischemic stroke (IS). In the pathophysiology of stroke, after the acute phase, many patients develop systemic immunosuppression, which, combined with neurological dysfunction and hospital management, leads to the onset of stroke-associated infections (SAIs).
