Background: Spindle cell carcinoid tumor (SCCT) is a rare variant of lung carcinoid tumor consisting predominantly or exclusively of spindle cells. To the authors' knowledge, this is the first study to date investigating the molecular characteristics of SCCTs.
Methods: Eighty-five carcinoid tumors initially diagnosed by fine-needle aspiration over a period of 10 years were reviewed.

Background And Purpose: Differentiating epidural from intrathecal punctures before computed tomography (CT)-guided epidural blood patching (EBP) is subjective, relying on operator experience. This study aimed to investigate CT findings for epidural and intrathecal punctures and identify reliable predictors for successful epidural punctures before targeted CT-guided EBP.
Materials And Methods: We included 65 patients with low-cerebrospinal fluid (CSF)-pressure headache receiving targeted CT-guided EBP between January 2021 and October 2022 in this retrospective study.

Purpose: Currently, three methods are implicated in cases of long urethral stricture including harvesting buccal mucosa of inner cheeks, harvesting lip mucosa and finally lingual mucosal graft. This study evaluated the feasibility, safety and morbidity of our "Boomerang shape" technique used for graft retrieval from the inner cheeks to repair long urethral defect cases which are usually 12-15 cm in length and 2.5 cm in width.

Health interventions often draw attention to the risks associated with unhealthy choice but in the process produce a boomerang effect such that those targeted become more committed to risky behavior. In 2 studies designed to promote condom use among sexually active college students, the authors document strategies for highlighting risk while promoting healthy choices. Study 1 demonstrated that optimistic perceptions regarding the likelihood of contracting sexually transmitted diseases (STDs) can be counteracted by drawing attention to the emotional consequences of contracting STDs, instead of its likelihood.

Otopalatodigital syndrome type 2 is an X-linked disorder with minimal expression in carrier females and comprises typical facial anomalies and a generalized bone dysplasia with osteodysplastic changes, brachydactyly, and impaired survival. Recently several other severe malformations were reported in the condition. Melnick-Needles syndrome is an X-linked dominant disorder.
