Hypoxia in tumors contributes to chemotherapy resistance, worsened by acidosis driven by carbonic anhydrases (CA IX and XII). Targeting these enzymes can mitigate acidosis, thus enhancing tumor sensitivity to cytotoxic drugs. Herein, novel 4-(pyrazolyl)benzenesulfonamide ureas () were developed and evaluated for their inhibitory activity against CA IX and XII.

The development of a new Neodymium/Dysprosium metal-organic framework, referred to as Nd/Dy-BTC MOF, based on benzene-1,2,4-tricarboxylic acid, has been achieved through an in situ growth process on 2D transition metal carbides (MXene) surfaces. This synthesis was conducted via a solvothermal method utilizing a solvent mixture of water, ethanol, and dimethylformamide. The primary objective of this research is to investigate the framework's efficacy as a photocatalyst for the degradation of anionic dye, as well as its potential for sensing certain explosives.

Topological transport is determined by global properties of physical media where it occurs and is characterized by quantized amounts of adiabatically transported quantities. Discovered for periodic potential, it was also explored in disordered and discrete quasiperiodic systems. Here, we report on experimental observation of pumping of a light beam in a genuinely continuous incommensurate photorefractive quasicrystal emulated by its periodic approximants.

The article, based on an online survey of 433 blind and visually impaired people aged 65-94 years conducted in 10 regions of the Russian Federation, states that, in general, older visually impaired people are more satisfied with life than dissatisfied. However, the level of satisfaction is mediated by the level that they have and their socio-typological well-being - general, socio-demographic plans, and typical, typhlological ones, in the light of which the corresponding predictors of satisfaction are discovered. In terms of disability, all major categories of life activity are reflected as such outstanding abilities.
