Background: Diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL) is one of the most common complications in patients with Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome (AIDS), yet its prognosis is generally poor. The impact of surgery on DLBCL remains controversial. We present a case of DLBCL associated with HIV infection, in which the patient achieved complete remission following surgical removal, radiotherapy, and sequential dose-adjusted EPOCH (DA-EPOCH) chemotherapy.

Enterovirus 71 (EV71) is a major pathogen that causes hand, foot, and mouth disease (HFMD) in infants and children. Notably, no clinically approved drugs specifically target EV71. The EV71 2A protease (2A), a cysteine protease produced by the virus, is essential for the virus' replication and has a significant impact on the functioning of host cells.

Cancer is the uncontrolled proliferation of abnormal cells that invade other areas, spread to other organs, and cause metastases, which is the most common cause of death. A review of all FDA-approved new molecular entities (NMEs) shows that natural products and derivatives account for over one-third of all NMEs. Before 1940, unmodified products and derivatives accounted for 43% and 14% of NME registrations, respectively.
