Background: Previous studies have separately suggested a possible association between the vitamin exposure, blood biochemical indicators, and bone density. Our study aimed to investigate the relationship between vitamin exposure serum concentrations, blood biochemical indicator serum concentrations, and BMC and BMD using the NHANES 2017-2018 nutrient survey data. This population-based cross-sectional study aimed to explore these associations.

To undertake a mixed-methodology implementation study to improve the well-being of men with gastrointestinal late effects following radical radiotherapy for prostate cancer. All men completed a validated screening tool for late bowel effects (ALERT-B) and the Gastrointestinal Symptom Rating Score (GSRS); men with a positive score on ALERT-B were offered management following a peer reviewed algorithm for pelvic radiation disease (PRD). Health-related quality of life (HRQoL) at baseline, 6 and 12 months; and healthcare resource usage (HRU) and patient, support-giver, staff experience and acceptability of staff training (qualitative analysis) were assessed.

Endophytic actinomycetes are potential sources of novel pharmaceutically active metabolites, significantly advancing natural product research. In the present investigation, secondary metabolites from two endophytic actinomycetes, Streptomyces parvulus GloL3, and Streptomyces lienomycini SK5, isolated from medicinal plant taxa, Globba marantina, and Selaginella kraussiana, exhibited broad-spectrum bioactivity. Ethyl Acetate (EA) extract of SK5 showed antimicrobial activity against nine human pathogens, including Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA), Candida tropicalis, and C.

Introduction: Extracorporeal shock wave lithotripsy (ESWL) causes trauma to the renal parenchyma. Due to the kidney injury, free radicals are generated, and an inflammatory process develops. Inflammatory markers like interleukin's (IL), C-reactive protein (CRP), and procalcitonin (PCT) are released into the circulation.

Increased virulence and drug resistance in species of resulted in reduced disease control and further demand the development of potent antifungal drugs. The repurposing of non-antifungal drugs and combination therapy has become an attractive alternative to counter the emerging drug resistance and toxicity of existing antifungal drugs against and non-albicans species. This study aimed to accelerate antifungal drug development process by drug repurposing approach.
