A high-throughput sequencing identified 1283 lncRNAs in anthers at different stages in Arabidopsis and their relationship with protein-coding genes and miRNAs during anther and pollen development were analyzed. Long non-coding RNAs (lncRNAs) are important regulatory molecules involved in various biological processes. However, their roles in male reproductive development and interactions with miRNAs remained elusive.

Microbial compartment provides a promising approach for achieving high-valued chemical biosynthesis from renewable feedstock. However, volatile precursor could be utilized by pathway enzyme, which may hinder and adverse the cascade catalysis within microbial cell factory. Here, a customizable compartment was developed for pathway sequestration using spatially assembled cascade catalysis reaction.

We successfully synthesize monodisperse sulfhydryl-modified mesoporous organosilica nanospheres (MONs-SH) via one-step hydrolytic condensation, where cetyltrimethylammonium chloride and dodecyl sulfobetaine are employed as dual-template agents with (3-mercaptopropyl)triethoxysilane and 1,2-bis(triethoxysilyl)ethane as the precursors and concentrated ammonia as the alkaline catalyst. The prepared MONs-SHs deliver a large specific surface area (729.15 m g), excellent monodispersity, and homogeneous particle size.

The oral cavity, being a nutritionally enriched environment, has been proven to be an ideal habitat for biofilm development. Various microenvironments, including dental enamel, supra- and subgingival surfaces, salivary fluid, and the dorsal surface of the tongue, harbor diverse microbes. These biofilms typically consist of four major layers.
