Traditional wound closure methods often present several issues, including additional puncture wounds, adverse effects from anesthesia, and noticeable scarring. Inspired by embryonic wound healing, a Janus hydrogel (PG/Au-Asp@PCM) is designed to manipulate non-invasive wound closure by photothermal-responsive self-contraction of PG/Au-Asp@PCM, which is attributed to the shape memory behavior of PG/Au-Asp@PCM under near-infrared (NIR). Wherein, gelatin acts as a thermally reversible "switch" and polyacrylamide creates stable and cross-linked "net-points".

The impact of the coronavirus disease COVID-19 pandemic on surgical training in the United States remains a controversial topic. In this study, we examined resident and fellow operative volumes in the pre-COVID-19 and COVID-19 periods across ten different surgical specialties. Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) national data reports were collected for ten surgical specialties, including general surgery, neurological surgery, ophthalmology, orthopedic surgery, pediatric surgery, plastic surgery (independent), thoracic surgery, urology, vascular surgery (integrated), and vascular surgery (traditional).

Background: Growing evidence indicates that metal implants influence the body's oxidative stress status, which in turn affects the degradation and stability of metal implants. The oxidative balance score (OBS) is a composite indicator, reflecting the overall oxidative balance of pro-and antioxidants of the human body.
