Piezoelectric micromachined ultrasonic transducers (PMUTs) show considerable promise for application in ultrasound imaging, but the limited bandwidth of the traditional PMUTs largely affects the imaging quality. This paper focuses on how to arrange cells with different frequencies to maximize the bandwidth and proposes a multi-frequency PMUT (MF-PMUT) linear array. Seven cells with gradually changing frequencies are arranged in a monotonic trend to form a unit, and 32 units are distributed across four lines, forming one element.

Since traffic flow has not been generated, a traffic noise prediction model based on actual traffic state data cannot be directly applied to the planned road network. Therefore, a regional traffic noise prediction method is proposed to find the upper limit of network noise emission based on design elements. The model is developed with noise predictions of the basic road section, interrupted/continuous intersections, and regional network.

Soft wireless passive sensors have been applied in biological, engineering, and other fields due to their advantages in powerless supply and remote data transmission. External information is obtained by soft wireless passive sensors via the external coils based on electromagnetic induction. The purpose of this review paper is to outline the biological applications of soft wireless passive chipless sensors and provide a classification of wireless passive sensors and an overall explanation of the main work.

The optical absorption properties of biological tissues in photoacoustic (PA) tomography are typically quantified by inverting acoustic measurements. Conventional approaches to solving the inverse problem of forward optical models often involve iterative optimization. However, these methods are hindered by several challenges, including high computational demands, the need for regularization, and sensitivity to both the accuracy of the forward model and the completeness of the measurement data.

Background: Treatment of deep carious lesions poses significant challenges in dentistry, as complete lesion removal risks compromising pulp vitality, while selective removal often reduces the longevity of restorations. Herein, we propose a minimally invasive approach using High-Intensity Focused Ultrasound (HIFU) for microscale removal of carious dentine. Concurrently, HIFU's antimicrobial effects against associated cariogenic biofilms and the corresponding thermal and biological impacts on surrounding tissues were investigated.
