Modulating Electronic Spin State of Perovskite Fluoride by Ni─F─Mn Bond Activating the Dynamic Site of Oxygen Reduction Reaction.

Small

January 2025

Beijing Key Laboratory of Energy Conversion and Storage Materials, College of Chemistry, Beijing Normal University, Beijing, 100875, P. R. China.

Establishing the relationship between catalytic performance and material structure is crucial for developing design principles for highly active catalysts. Herein, a type of perovskite fluoride, NHMnF, which owns strong-field coordination including fluorine and ammonia, is in situ grown on carbon nanotubes (CNTs) and used as a model structure to study and improve the intrinsic catalytic activity through heteroatom doping strategies. This approach optimizes spin-dependent orbital interactions to alter the charge transfer between the catalyst and reactants.

The Role of GSK3β Signaling Mediated Lysosomal Biosynthesis Dysregulation in Fluoride-Induced Neurological Impairment.

Food Chem Toxicol

January 2025

Department of Environmental Health & Environment and Health Innovation Team, School of Public Health, Zhengzhou University, Zhengzhou, 450001, Henan, China. Electronic address:

Neurological dysfunction induced by fluoride is still one of major concern worldwide, yet the underlying mechanisms remain elusive. To explore whether fluoride disrupts lysosomal biosynthesis via the GSK3β signaling, leading to neurological damage, both in vivo rat models and in vitro PC12 cell models were conducted. Subsequent findings revealed reduced spatial learning and memory abilities, decreased hippocampal neurons, and disrupted neuronal arrangement in NaF-treated rats.

Background: This study aimed to compare the effectiveness of 38% silver diamine fluoride (SDF) with different application frequencies in arresting dentine caries of permanent teeth in people with intellectual disabilities (ID) and evaluated their treatment cooperation.

Methods: Forty-six people with ID (aged 6-30 years) with at least one permanent dentine caries were assigned to two groups: Group 1 (N = 23, 51 teeth) received semiannual applications, while Group 2 (N = 23, 61 teeth) received once a week for 3 consecutive weeks, followed by one application semiannually. Caries activity and Frankl behaviour rating scales were assessed at baseline, 6, and 12 months.

Comprehensive Analysis of Immune Characteristics of Fluorosis and Cuprotosis-Related Genes in Fluorosis Targeted Drugs.

Biol Trace Elem Res

January 2025

Department of Environmental Health, School of Public Health, Zhengzhou University, Zhengzhou, Henan, 450001, P. R. China.

This study aims to investigate the role of cuprotosis in fluorosis and identify potential targeted drugs for its treatment. The GSE70719 and GSE195920 datasets were merged using the inSilicoMerging package. DEGs between the exposure and control groups were found using R software.
