Understanding the critical properties is essential for determining the physical behavior of topological systems. In this context, scaling theories based on the curvature function in momentum space, the renormalization group (RG) method, and the universality of critical exponents have proven effective. In this work, we develop a scaling theory for non-Hermitian topological states of matter.

Low-dimensional materials (LDMs) with unique electromagnetic properties and diverse local phenomena have garnered significant interest, particularly for their low-energy responses within the terahertz (THz) range. Achieving deep subwavelength resolution, THz nanoscopy offers a promising route to investigate LDMs at the nanoscale. Steady-state THz nanoscopy has been demonstrated as a powerful tool for investigating light-matter interactions across boundaries and interfaces, enabling insights into physical phenomena such as localized collective oscillations, quantum confinement of quasiparticles, and metal-to-insulator phase transitions (MITs).

As an effective method to enhance the dielectric performance of polyolefin materials, polar side group modification has been extensively applied in the insulation and energy storage materials of electrical and electronic systems. In this work, two side groups with different topological structures were adopted, namely, vinyl acetate (VAc, aliphatic chain) and -vinyl-pyrrolidone (NVP, saturated ring), to modify polypropylene (PP) chemical grafting, and the effects of structural topology of the polar side group on the microscopic and macroscopic characteristics of PP, particularly on its electrical anti-breakdown ability, were investigated. Experimental results showed that the side group structural topology directly affected the crystallization and thermal properties of PP.

This retrospective study explores the impact of comprehensive thermal insulation measures on the stress response of patients undergoing hysteroscopy surgery. A total of 600 patients who underwent hysteroscopy at our hospital from January 2018 to December 2022 were included. Participants were randomly assigned to an observation group (n = 305) and a control group (n = 295).

The insulative properties of soil organic carbon (SOC) and surface organic layers (moss, lichens, litter) regulate surface-atmosphere energy exchanges in the Arctic through a coupling with soil temperatures. However, a physical description of this process is lacking in many climate models, potentially biasing their high-latitude climate predictions. Using a coupled surface-atmosphere model, we identified a strong feedback loop between soil insulation, surface air temperature, and snowfall.
