Post-weaning diarrhea (PWD) is a major concern for pig producers, as stress and early weaning increase susceptibility to enteropathogens like enterotoxigenic Escherichia coli (ETEC) and Salmonella enterica subsp. enterica serovar Typhimurium (S. Typhimurium).

Background: Allergic rhinitis (AR) represents a persistent inflammatory condition affecting the upper respiratory tract, characterized by abnormal initiation of the immunoglobulin E (IgE)-mediated cascade. Follicular helper T (Tfh) cells and regulatory T (Tfr) cells are pivotal in orchestrating the development of IgE production in AR patients. IL-35, an anti-inflammatory cytokine, secreted by various cellular subpopulations.

Herein, we propose to synthesize stereoblock polythioethers through the chain shuttling enantioselective ring-opening polymerization (ROP) of thiiranes. The use of diastereoisomeric dinuclear Cr complexes with optimized steric hindrance allowed the production of polythioethers with both a head-to-tail content and isotacticity of >99%. In particular, the introduction of dithiols enabled the synthesis of stereoblock polythioethers via a chain shuttling process, thus producing sulfhydryl-telechelic polythioethers with tunable thermal properties.

Moreover, although daily diary and experimental studies among civilians have found negative associations between alcohol use and sleep, these patterns change with consecutive days of drinking and may differ for those with insomnia. This study measured (a) acute and cumulative day-level associations between sleep and alcohol use among heavy-drinking US veterans and (b) the extent to which insomnia moderates these associations.

The gut microbiota is unanimously acknowledged as playing a central role in human health, notably through the production of various metabolites, including short-chain fatty acids, secondary bile acids, vitamins or neurotransmitters. Beyond contributing to gut health itself, these microbial metabolites significantly impact multiple organ systems by participating in key signaling pathways along the well documented gut-organ axes. Chemicals ingested through food might interact with our gut microbiota, altering metabolites production with consequences on health.
