Background: Thoracic surgery is a high-risk surgery especially for the risk of postoperative pulmonary complications. Postoperative residual paralysis has been shown to be a risk factor for pulmonary complications. Nevertheless, there are few data in the literature concerning the use of neuromuscular blocking agent antagonists in patients undergoing lung surgery.

Abstract: The aim of this study was to report the targeted perioperative management of general anesthesia (GA) adopted for dental extractions in a rare patient with type 1 citrullinemia and Brugada pattern. A male, Caucasian, adult type 1 citrullinemia patient needed dental extractions under GA.

Sugammadex has several pharmacological advantages over neostigmine, including faster reversal of neuromuscular blockade and fewer adverse effects. However, the economic impact of sugammadex remains controversial due to the considerable heterogeneity of study designs and clinical settings in previous studies. In a post-hoc analysis of a randomized controlled trial, we evaluated patients who underwent elective surgeries and general anesthesia with endotracheal intubation in a medical center in Taiwan between March 2020 and August 2020.

Study Objective: Sugammadex is an alternative drug to traditional decurarization by cholinesterase inhibitors. It has been examined the effect of sugammadex on steroid hormones in this study.
Design: Randomized clinical trial.
Purpose of the study was to develop techniques of controlled myorelaxation during surgeries in patients with aldosteroma. 46 patients were involved in the study. Adrenalectomy was performed by videoendoscopy from retroperitoneal access.
