Background: Neck and back pain pathologies are currently the main cause of absenteeism from work in Spain and in the European Union, and represent a high socio-labor, economic and health cost for the Health Systems.
Aim: To assess the effectiveness of a Back School Program of a Spanish mutual insurance company (risk factors, pain and disability scales) in women workers with low back or neck pain.
Design: We combined a descriptive study of first-session data collected in the total sample and a prospective multicenter intervention study in those participants who completed the second and third check-up at 6 and 9 months.

Although breast, cervical, endometrial, and ovarian cancers account for more than 43% of new cases in 2023 in Brazilian women, no national studies were found on the incidence, risk factors, and prevention of breast and gynecological neoplasms in lesbian women, causing the health needs of non-heterosexual women to go unnoticed by professionals. This study aims to identify and analyze the search for healthcare related to the prevention of breast/gynecological cancer among Brazilian lesbian cisgender women who have not had the disease. Seven lesbian women participated in this qualitative study.

HPV-negative HNSCC, which arises in the upper airway mucosa, is particularly aggressive, with nearly half of patients succumbing to the disease within five years and limited response to immune checkpoint inhibitors compared to other cancers. There is a need to further explore the complex immune landscape in HPV-negative HNSCC to identify potential therapeutic targets.

It is well established that fentanyl acts as a μ-opioid receptor agonist, signaling through Gα intracellular pathways to inhibit electrical excitability, resulting in analgesia and respiratory depression . Aim: This study leveraged standard-of-care CT scans of patients receiving unilateral radiotherapy (RT) for early tonsillar cancer to detect volumetric changes in the carotid arteries, and determine whether there is a dose-response relationship.
Methods: Disease-free cancer survivors (>3 months since therapy and age > 18 years) treated with intensity modulated RT for early (T1-2, N0-2b) tonsillar cancer with pre- and post-therapy contrast-enhanced CT scans available were included. Patients treated with definitive surgery, bilateral RT, or additional RT before the post-RT CT scan were excluded.
