One-day dual-tracer examination in neuroendocrine neoplasms: a real advantage of low activity LAFOV PET imaging.

Eur J Nucl Med Mol Imaging

January 2025

Nuclear Medicine and Clinical Molecular Imaging, University Hospital Tuebingen, Otfried-Mueller-Str. 14, 72076, Tuebingen, Germany.

Purpose: Somatostatin receptor (SSTR)-PET is crucial for effective treatment stratification of neuroendocrine neoplasms (NENs). In highly proliferating or poorly differentiated NENs, dual-tracer approaches using additional [F]FDG PET can effectively identify SSTR-negative disease, usually requiring separate imaging sessions. We evaluated the feasibility of a one-day dual-tracer imaging protocol with a low activity [F]FDG PET followed by an SSTR-PET using the recently introduced [F]SiFAlin-TATE tracer in a long axial field-of-view (LAFOV) PET/CT scanner and its implications in patient management.

Background: Despite patent ductus arteriosus closure in premature infants is a relatively fast procedure, it involves specific steps for equipment exchange and the use of a 4-Fr catheter, which may be large for tiny infants, potentially causing haemodynamic instability or tricuspid valve regurgitation.

Objectives: This study aims to describe the early experience with a new technique designed to simplify transcatheter patent ductus arteriosus closure in premature infants. It enables the closure using the KA micro plug device via a single microcatheter without equipment exchanges and contrast exposure.

A physical optics formulation of Bloch waves and its application to 4D STEM, 3D ED and inelastic scattering simulations.

Acta Crystallogr A Found Adv

March 2025

Department of Physics, Durham University, South Road, Durham, DH1 3LE, United Kingdom.

Bloch waves are often used in dynamical diffraction calculations, such as simulating electron diffraction intensities for crystal structure refinement. However, this approach relies on matrix diagonalization and is therefore computationally expensive for large unit cell crystals. Here Bloch wave theory is re-formulated using the physical optics concepts underpinning the multislice method.

Revolutionizing green catalysis: a novel amla seed derived biochar modified g-CN·SOH catalyst for sustainable and versatile synthesis of bis-indoles.

Nanoscale Adv

January 2025

Synthetic Organic Chemistry Laboratory, Department of Chemistry, MLSU Udaipur-313001 Rajasthan India

Catalysis plays a vital role in green chemistry by improving process efficiency, reducing waste, and minimizing environmental impact. A biochar-modified g-CN·SOH (BCNSA) catalyst was developed using biochar derived from amla seed powder and CNSA. CNSA was synthesized the reaction of g-CN with chlorosulfonic acid.

Aim: This study aimed to evaluate the factor structure of the Oral Behaviors Checklist (OBC) in Chinese temporomandibular disorder (TMDs) patients and compare the outcomes with those of Western patients. Additionally, it examined the correlations between different OBC subscale scoring methods.

Methods: A total of 869 patients completed a survey that included demographic information, the Symptom Questionnaire, and OBC.
