Adenoid hypertrophy is one of the most common upper respiratory tract disorders during childhood, leading to a range of symptoms such as nasal congestion, mouth breathing and obstructive sleep apnea. Current diagnostic methods, including computerized tomography scans and nasal endoscopy, are invasive or involve ionizing radiation, rendering them unsuitable for long-term assessments. To address these clinical challenges, this paper proposes a novel deep learning approach for the non-invasive detection of adenoid hypertrophy using heartlung sounds.

Thus, FB-based thermal imaging systems show great potential in some important applications, such as infrared endoscopy, aircraft infrared warning, and satellite remote sensing. In most applications, FBs are required to have high overall transmittance (OT) and high spatial resolution (), but the fabrication of such high-performance FBs is still a challenge.

Objectives: We aimed to determine the compliance, safety, and acceptance of colon capsule endoscopy (CCE) and small bowel capsule endoscopy (SBCE) in an out-of-clinic setting remotely supported by medical staff.
Methods: We enrolled 30 examinees (24 with CCE and six with SBCE) who had not undergone CE at six gastroenterological centers. All examinees were provided with instructions on equipment and bowel preparations.
