Purpose: Our goal is to study the clinical, radiological and therapeutic particularity of the female urethral diverticula via a retrospective study of 21 cases.
Patient And Methods: Twenty one females, with a mean age of 37 years (range 15 to 62 years) presenting an urethral diverticula, were treated between 1988 and 2000. Clinical examination made diagnosis in all cases.

The authors report a case of Zenker's diverticulum in a patient 72 years old who underwent surgery. The pharyngoesophageal function was investigated before and after cricopharyngeal myotomy and diverticulopexy, with oesophageal manometry. Preoperative manometry showed an incomplete relaxation of the upper oesophageal sphincter and increased of pharyngeal pressure.

We report our experience with 59 cases of Zenker's diverticulum, all treated endoscopically from 1979 to 1998. The ages ranged from 59 to 98 years. There were contraindications for conventional surgery or deep general anesthesia for all the patients.

Giant diverticulum of the colon is a rare complication of the colonic diverticulosis. It generally involves the sigmoid colon. In the chronic form, without symptoms or with only a few non-specific symptoms, an abdominal mass is frequently palpable.

Urethral diverticulum is a rare disease, arising in the urethrovaginal septum and communicating with the urethra through an orifice. Characterised by clinical polymorphism, it is diagnosed by urethrocystography and transvaginal ultrasound. We report a series of 15 cases of urethral diverticulum over a 10-year period.
