The case of segmental neurofibromatosis (NF) with a monstrous plexiform neurofibroma in a 53-year-old female patient is described. Segmental NF is a rare form of NF, which is caused by a postzygotic mutation in the NF1 gene. In this mosaic form the typical cutaneous symptoms of NF are limited to certain unilateral dermatomes.

Giant warts are infrequent dermatological viral infections caused by Papillomavirus (HPV) in immune-compromised patients. Treatment may often be difficult and unsatisfactory, either by surgery or cytotoxic agents, because of poor immune control of viral activity in such hosts. Here we report on the case of a patient with advanced and persistent immune suppression caused by HIV disease, who developed a monstrous wart covering the entirety of the radial district of his right hand.

Pleomorphic giant or 'monster' cells represent a well-recognized yet uncommon finding associated with basal cell carcinoma (BCC), usually of nodular type. We present a case of basaloid squamous cell carcinoma (basaloid SCC) with 'monster' cells that closely mimicked those described in pleomorphic nodular BCC. Clinically, the lesion presented as a fleshy, hyperkeratotic nodule in an 82-year-old woman.

The crust consisted of corneocytes and bacterial debris. Pomade crusts have not been described previously in this localization.
